We hear a lot about Jesus, Who is he and what did he do? -Son of God, Died for us

• Jesus died for us, if you believe in him and what he did for you, you are saved (go to heaven)

What is involved throughout the week in a new church? -preparation, rosters, who’s doing what, finance

Synopsis

Lakes Edge Community Church is a recently planted church in the new community of Mawson Lakes. This is their story about what it is and what it takes.

There are a lot of churches out there. Lakes Edge Community Church is a recently planted church in the new community of Mawson Lakes. They have just celebrated their 3rd Birthday. Running the church is no walk in the park. There is a lot of planning and maintaining that goes on behind the scenes. There are also numerous programs that run during the week as well as on the Sunday. This is their story about what it is and what it takes.

Treatment

The Documentary opens with shots of the new community of Mawson Lakes and a closer look at the venue location of the church.

After a brief sequence we see a typical Mawson Lakes home. In the family room, our interviewer meets with Graeme and Chris Leskie the interviewees. Our interviewer asks a series of questions relevant to Lakes Edge Community Church, Where it all started and what’s involved.

We will see a brief skit of Graeme or Chris reading the bible, and shortly afterwards, preaching to the church.

Returning to the interview, our interviewer will ask about the programs that the church run. This will include some image overlays.

Our interviewer will ask about some challenges that they face. Depending on the challenges, we will see Graeme or Chris performing a recreation of one challenge they face.

Returning to the interviewer, our interviewer will ask about worship. A short archival video will appear here show the church in worship.

The final question will ask where they see the church going. The documentary will finish with some archival footage from the church which include several people from the church telling us what they think of Lakes Edge Community Church.
